Limited edition Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Blades Edition flies in

Special Blades Edition Aston Martin V8 Vantage S gets upgrades based on aerobatic display team's livery

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Blades Edition

A dealer has created a special Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Blades Edition to pay homage to a well-known aerobatic display team. The car features a grey and orange livery as well as some special extras.

There aren't any changes under the skin, so the car's incredible 4.7-litre V8 engine is untouched. The Blades Edition does get a lot of visual upgrades though, including orange detailing on the grille and door mirrors, a black roof, a new front spliter, carbon fibre air vents, some Union Jack badges and orange stitching inside with the Blades logo on the seat headrests.

Only five cars will be sold, each one matched to a plane in the display team, and all are being offered by dealer Aston Martin Cambridge. The Blades Vantage comes with an experience package to fit the theme of the car: a day spent at the Blades' headquarters at Sywell Aerodrome in Northampton.

Buyers will collect their car from the runway, but not before getting the chance to fly with the ex-Red Arrows pilots in the Blades display team. They will also get to test the limits of their new V8 Vantage on the long, flat runway with a professional driver to help make the most of it.

The Blades Edition will cost £119,950, comes with a manual or optional automatic gearbox and is only available at Aston Martin Cambridge - though four of the five have already been sold, with one apparently going to one of the Blades pilots.
