It is one of worst cars I have had the privilege of owning. Never ever again. My 2 local dealers are owned by the same franchise and are useless beyond all comprehension. I have had to travel nearly 50 miles to find a decent dealer, who I admit, have finally lived up to expectations. I have had the entire steering rack replaced and rear suspension replaced and I now have problems with electrical interference from the rear window demister. I have now realised why Audi never appears at the top of car satisfaction surveys like it should.

The 2nd generation audi a4 B6 model is probably the best looking a4 in my opinion when comapring with all the other A4 models ( mark 1,3 and 4).
Reliablility, comfort safety and economy and puchy performance make for a excellent blend- rather like a good satisfying smoothie that satisfies the taste buds and is good and healthy for you!
Meticulous attention to the build makes you wonder if someone at Audi has OCDs! but that is how i like it after all the genius is in singlemindedness and not compromising in the small details.

My car had a bizarre problem that the main dealer had not encountered before. They spent three weeks solving the problem. The car was out of warranty (just over 3 years and 64,000 miles), but the local main dealer were very helpful. They provided a courtesy car for the duration of the problem solving. They also made a substantial goodwill contribution to the final bill. Although the car had let me down, the attitude of the dealer convinced me that I should consider buying the same brand again.

Car is great, dealership customer attention to detail and customer satisfaction is the worst I have every come accross. The sales experience was good, the after care is absolutely the worst. Parts not fitted correctly, wrong parts orderred, I even had my car damaged by the service staff and it is still in the body shop now, I wish I could buy another audi with out going anywhere near an Audi dealership.

Never will buy another Audi. The car is a piece of junk. The dealer was very friendly before purchasing and now has the money doesn't give a damn. And Audi themselves are worse. I'm selling the car (at quite a loss) to get rid of the problem and buy something else - perhaps a Jaguar.

I bought an Audi after owning an Alfa, expecting a revelation in build quality and reliability. It is much, much better on fuel consumption but persistent niggles have let me down and it costs a fortune to fix many things.
The climate control is HOPELESS. Even compared to an Alfa!

Great Car with bad owner history. Poorly looked after coped extremely well with high millage in first year( 50,000) considering age then very little there after (<3000)

My Audi is still in the garage waiting for a circuit board for the Engine Management System. Will take 3 weeks to be sent to UK from Germany. Pathetic to say the least. I expected a lot more reliability and customer service from Audi. They have let themselves down badly

Unconfortable seats, easy to drive, too many niggling problems for a car of it's age:- central locking failed, boot does not latch in cold weather, ac failed glove box door failed etc..... This car could easily be much better...I'm glad it's not my money!

the sline suspension is just to hard and unforgiving for british b roads
I have been back to dealer 6 times about rattles creaks and bits falling off.
The most annoying was the door seal rattle and the drivers armrest which in the end i had to fix myself

Great build quality, legendary Audi interior, great spec & fantastic economy are the plus points. The minus points are the embarrissingly vocal Pump Duse engine & the achilles heel of all VW/Audi diesels; premature failure of the dual mass flywheel.

It's so good I can't think of an excuse to change it, which is a shame because no matter how good a car is you get a bit bored after a while. Drives like new after 140,000 miles. No rattles. No reliability problems. Still doing 45miles/gallon

Although I am amazed and disappointed that the sunroof switch and radio went and through the cold spell the water pump and cooling system had a total failure.

'climate control' needs constant adjustment , is unpredictable. still not fixed [2 1/2 years old]. steering pull to left, improved brt will not know if acceptable till new tyres fitted [soon].
