09-reg Petrol, Owner for Less than a year

more or less perfect to drive. rear visibility and fuel consumption = poor. It doesn't go into reverse gear sometimes when you pull the gearstick into reverse so u have to do it again. rear bumper reflector broke after a minor bump. indicators on mirrors stick out so when i was reversing it clipped onto a wheelie bin and tore off the whole mirror casing, £36 to replace the plastic cover. when your running low on fuel the trip computer has a mind of its own and will keep on changing how many miles is left. front left speaker has started to rattle when u put it on loud. sum cheap plastics in the interior. design inside and out is great. boot could be bigger. overall however extremely happy with it, handles very well, ride is very good, sound system very good.

I like the new Ford Fiesta VERY Much, the styling, interior comfort, equipment levels, handling etc. The ONLY thing that I am upset by is the stated round town fuel consumption of 37-38mpg I get around 30mpg and I drive like a saint trying to achieve that. Can you imagine if I drove with a heavy foot. I have even written to Ford about it, their answer was "Our fuel figures are produced with a vehicle on a rolling road". HOW can that be indicative of town driving, with traffic lights, hills, etc???

59-reg Petrol, Owner for Less than a year

The latest Fiesta has great styling and in the 1.6 petrol, good performance. I am currently getting 40mpg with a mixture of mainly town motoring + some motorway.

Enough room although fully folding rear seats would have been better.

Radio, CD, optional bluetooth all work very well. Voice control works well but sequence could be shorter. Now we have colder weather, Quickclear front screen is a real bonus together with the climate control.

A great car to drive.

59-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

I love it. I have every extra and paid the price of a much lower spec model. I have had it for 3 months but feel like it is part of me and part of my life for much longer. I would recommend it to anyone and all my friends/family are jealous of its leather seats and gadgets/safety features and have all asked for a drive of it. I don't want to ever have to exchange it.

Cost: 5/5
04-reg Petrol, Owner for More than 5 years

Although it does what it shuold as a supermini, some of the plastics are of poor quality and have sharp edges. The water pump failed just after the three year warranty and a suspension spring also broke which I would not expect to happen on a car used around town and with only 20000 miles on the clock at the time. Ford were not interested in helping with either issue.

Cost: 3/5
2009-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

In three-and-a-half years it has never needed more than routine servicing except that its clutch went when it was fairly new and ford paid for half of the costs involved - not altogether satisfactory but I accepted that they didn't need to make the offer. I don't have a great deal of experience of the cost of parts, but the mpg seems quite poor for a car of its size.

Cost: 3/5
03-reg Petrol, Owner for More than 5 years

We haven't treated the car very well, our Fiesta has suffered neglect and a lot of abuse and yet nothing has ever gone wrong and it still provides plenty of reliable transport. Minor trim needed replacing but a spare part was easily found and cheap too. Driving is fun, the handling is great and power is sufficient most of the time. Overall a great little car!

Cost: 5/5
2009-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Has not let me down ie failed to start broken down en-route. Mpg is average-but car bodies are getting heavier for small(hatchback sized )cars,so will not be as good as equivalent sized cars made 15-20 years agoi.insurance-always covering for the wrong-doers on the road, and we are an overcrowded island so it will never be cheap.

Cost: 4/5
57-reg Petrol, Owner for Less than a year

OK for everyday commuting, but longer journeys become tiring. Fuel consumption is vastly overestimated by Ford. Struggle to get 38-40 mpg for 1.2 petrol engine ( and I'm no boy racer!) Electrics feel cheap quality.
This model's interior is improved over previous model - less hard plastic, but still some way to go.

Cost: 2/5
59-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

The new Fiesta is a dream to drive, especially in 'Zetec S' guise! My only gripe is that fuel economy in my diesel is not quite as efficient on a combined cycle as I was hoping for after reading the Ford literature. Overall, I've been very impressed with the car and handling is brilliant on it...

Cost: 3/5
09-reg Petrol, Owner for Less than a year

I have the Fiesta Titanium 1.4 and it is a brilliant car to drive!! The economy is very good and on even short journeys it always returns about 49mpg. and mid to upper 50s on longer runs.I am 65 years old and still like to get my foot down! My other car is an MGF but that is another story!!!

lts a Ford,lt does what it says on the tin,
Apart from the Display keeps saying DONT DRIVE go straight to a dealer,But nothing is wrong it still go's.
What a comedown from a Golf,
I miss the Esp Tcs etc,
Built to a minimum standard and it is expensive,
Wish l had waited for the new Polo.

2004-reg Diesel, Owner for more than 5 years

Have owned my car from new for 9 years and the only thing to go wrong was a 73p pin on my clutch broke. I get over 700miles per tank of fuel even now at 9 years old, barr types and servicing, which for this make are not overly expensive noting has been spent on the car.

Cost: 5/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for less than a year

No issues so far. 38 mpg is way lower than the combined 52 mpg. driven enthusiastically it dips to 30. 82bhp slow to catch up with fast traffic. once at speed it holds speed well and is relatively refined other than a groan from its little engine.

Cost: 3/5
T-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

nice little run around, ideal for now but may need one that is if nopt bigger at least has 5 doors in the future. it is nippy enough just for me to trvael around town and to visit family a few hundred miles away occasioanlly

Cost: 5/5
58-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

under powered; clutch pedal travel is large causing me to either stretch to put the clutch down or sit too close to the steering wheel.
I purchased the car with economy in mind but find it is not so economic as I expected.

Cost: 4/5
2002-reg Diesel, Owner for more than 5 years

It has failed to start once in 10 years, reason unknown but started by the aa. also, failure of the steering rack at a young age but out of warranty. Fords should be "dirt cheap" to buy, run and service but this is not.

Cost: 3/5
08-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Very good. Fiesta has been cheap to run and practical. The only thing that has gone wrong was when I hit a pothole and needed two new wheels as they were bent. This was not the fault of the car, but the council's!

Cost: 5/5
08-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Great to drive with the Torquey 1.6 TDCi engine and very economical 60+ mpg, cheap to service at only £95. Plenty of space and great ride and handling as you'd expect from a Ford. I wish I had bought 2!

Cost: 5/5
58-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

It's OK - but no more than that. Had a petrol Focus before, which is an all round better drive. The economy in the Fiesta though is great. Next time want a Focus diesel to get the best of both worlds.

Cost: 5/5
2012-reg Petrol, Owner for less than a year

It's my second superb 3.6l and I haven't had a problem with either. smooth as clockwork. 20,000 mile service intervals and comparatively good fuel consumption for a large engine help keep costs down.

Cost: 5/5
Y-reg Petrol, Owner for Less than a year

I am a little bit dissapointed in my Ford Fiesta. It is not as economical as I thought it would be and replacement parts are far more expensive than they should be considering the price of the car.

Cost: 2/5
2009-reg Diesel, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Once driving school car, and lots drivers, varying 'styles', ie clutch, gears etc car stood up very well. Car tax ł25 marvellous (now im retired !). by defensive driving can keep fuel costs down.

Cost: 3/5
2010-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Nothing failed in three years. Lightly scuffed wheel turned out to be a buckled wheel requiring replacement - excessively expensive just for the sake of running ultra-low profile tyres.

Cost: 4/5
2009-reg Diesel, Owner for less than a year

Never had any problems with this vehicle and have been very satisfied with its reliability. Has been very economic as beings as I don't do much mileage and generally do town journeys.

2007-reg Diesel, Owner for less than a year

Only had one small issue that was a comsumable part wearing out. Road tax: ł35 a year. mpg: $50+ around town, better on the motorway. couldn't ask for a cheaper car to run.

Cost: 5/5
X-reg Petrol, Owner for Less than a year

Easy to drive, suits its purpose well, good fuel economy, good styling, interior slightly dated however, but a good overall car for someone who needs it to get from A to B.

Cost: 4/5
1996-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Only drive 4 miles a day so fine. Very cheap, I don't get it serviced as friend does it for free, run it into the ground and buy another car for less that ł400 each time.

Cost: 4/5
Other-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

small cheap runaround with resonable features in the top range models. However poor fuel economy and age of the car means few faults with the exhaust etc. Overall average.

Cost: 3/5
2006-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Generally fine apart from one major problem with the abs. Fuel economy is ok considering the performance, but spare parts more expensive than you mighgt expect for a ford.

Cost: 3/5
2006-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

I've found the reliability pretty good, the bulbs seem to go every so often however. Seems to get a good mpg, spare parts are easily available and quite cheap being ford.

Cost: 5/5
08-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

I really like the car. Fun to drive and Quick. Has returned over 30mpg so far in its life which for my largely Urban driving and a 2.0 petrol engine is not bad at all.
