You don’t buy a sports coupé or Roadster for its versatility, so putting the TT’s poor practicality aside, it’s more than meeting owners’ expectations.

I got my dream 3.2 V6 TT 19 months ago after buying from Taunton Audi for peace of mind. I love the car but it's been a complete lemon. So far i've replaced all engine ignition coils, water pump, serpentine belt, numerous bulbs, Engine mount, control units for both headlights, i've just been told the rear anti-roll bar is corroded and it's back in the Audi dealer for a rubbing noise from the steering rack on 5th Feb 2010. What else can go wrong with it!! So far including tyres i;ve spent nealy £3k on repairs in 19 months. I want to buy the new shape TT but i can't afford it!!

Brilliant to drive except on poor surfaces. Quattro grip is second to none in wet and dry. Only gripe surrounds the seat leather, this has been replaced once because of poor wear and is showing the same again now despite only 12000 miles. Not good enough for Audi.

It's fine. It's not very practical, but then it's a 2-door open top car. Dealer servicing is a rip-off (£28 for a pair of wiper blades?) but now it's old enough, it can start going to independent garages.
