Audi's diesel-powered R10 claimed its eighth consecutive victory to retain its unbeaten record in the American Le Mans Series. Champion Allan McNish (image) and co-driver Dindo Capello beat team-mates Frank Biela and Emanuele Pirro at Laguna Seca, California. The Scot admitted: “There is no way we could have gone so long between pitstops without the diesel. The team gave me all the info I required in terms of distances to ensure we got to the end. It was right at the limit.”
