McLaren reveals all, Rapper wants GP team and Jenson Button's bad luck continues

McLAREN revealed its vast new 850 sq m ‘Brand Centre’ at Silverstone. The three-floor paddock- based unit has an entertainment area, rest rooms, offices for the team and a restaurant space. It takes two days to construct and the same to take down.

RAPPER P Diddy has claimed he wants to own a grand prix team. The US star was speaking at the launch of his new perfume range.
He’s certainly got the money. He apparently spent £100,000 on champagne alone at the do.

A DIY magnate has submitted a joint venture proposal to Silverstone owner the British Racing Drivers’ Club. Ex-chairman of the Focus/Wickes chains Bill Archer wants to help finance improvements that will secure the grand prix from 2009 onwards.
Button suffers another shocker

JENSON Button had a dismal weekend. He missed Friday practice after hurting his back. Test driver Christian Klien took his place. Button then qualified 18th – four places behind team-mate Rubens Barrichello – and finished 10th.

BRITS Mike Conway and Adam Carroll starred in the GP2 support races. Carroll won Sunday’s event. He was sixth on Saturday. Mike Conway came second behind Andi Zuber in the first event for his best result of the season.
