Williams will be hoping to continue the renaissance it has enjoyed over the past couple of seasons, helped in no small part by having the class-of-the-field Mercedes power unit in the back of its cars. The feeling within the team is that its chassis is good enough to equal or even better Ferrari’s efforts, but the Scuderia may possess a greater ability to develop further as the season progresses, leaving Williams behind. A strong upper-midfield run is certain, however, even if a return to the top step of the podium still feels only a remote possibility.
Our verdict: Both drivers are in fine form and should keep on delivering podiums. Force India, Red Bull and Toro Rosso could all threaten, though.
