The Jaguar E-Type is a British car design icon. Unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, the E-Type won the hearts of punters who instantly took to its stunning design and attractive price - being two to three times lower than that of its closest rivals. In fact, it was so popular at the show that Sir William Lyons had another car driven from Coventry to Geneva for the media. Enzo Ferrari himself described it as the most beautiful car in the world. Praise indeed.
This gallery is just a small selection of automotive prints available from Petrolified - a website selling artistic images of a wide range of classic, historic and inspiring cars. The aim behind Petrolified is to share not only the artwork with motoring enthusiasts, but also tell the stories behind the cars featured in the prints.
Petrolified is the brain-child of Martin Miskolci, a Slovakian car enthusiast who wants to share his passion for all things automotive. The first piece of artwork from Petrolified was the "Wall of Wheels", a print of a selection of the most memorable wheels from classic Japanese cars.
Now, the company has diversified and a huge range of prints are available of a whole host of cars - from the Mercedes 300SL to VW Camper and Ferrari F40. Prints start at €14.99 (£12) from the Petrolified online store. A small range of collections are available such as Vintage and Monochrome.
