93Land Rover Freelander (old)78.72%
A sales hit for years, but the Freelander felt like a dinosaur as soon as its predecessor arrived. You struggled to find much to compliment, slating the sluggish performance, lacklustre brakes and hefty running costs. It also got some stick for being tricky to drive, while build quality was poor. Nearly a quarter of complaints were down to electrical faults, while 23 per cent had to have an engine problem fixed. Land Rover will be hoping its new Freelander proves to be more of a success with its customers.
