Hyundai Getz

Compare the average rating for each sector of the car market, and itÂ’'s superminis and city cars that are least satisfying to own. So Hyundai should be pleased with this result for its Getz, which has made it into the top half of the chart. A mere seven per cent said their car hadnÂ’'t lived up to expectations, while the Getz got slated in only one category –– performance. Elsewhere the Hyundai recorded a top 10 finish in the running costs ranking and proved to be very reliable.

Your Quotes

“The Getz is totally reliable, if not terribly exciting. Very practical though, and ideal for drivers who do a low annual mileage.”

Mr Stuart Mace - Oxon

“A great car for the price - build quality is excellent, good economy, dealer service is great - the boot is a bit on the small size, but you have to expect that on a car of this size...”

Mr Steve Rumbles - Carshalton

“Excellent all-round buy. The only downside is I now do a lot of motorway to and from work which the car isn't really designed for. Other than that Hyundai has proved an excellent company to purchase from.”

Mr David Hodgkinson - Accrington

MANUFACTURER VERDICT

While Kia'Â’s push to become a mainstream car maker is making headway, Hyundai faces a tougher task with its bid to become a marque associated with sporty, prestigious motoring. Moving up three places, itÂ’'s heading in the right direction. The improvement is no doubt a reflection of the abilities of the latest Santa Fe. The new Ford Focus-rivalling i30 should maintain this momentum next year.
