Good scores across the board for the new A6. It only slips out of the top 50 in one category and 55th for running costs is reasonable, given the class of car while both the saloon and Avant are great all-rounders. So why has it failed to get close to the top 10? It seems the A6 doesn't excite you very much – it's only really high finish is in the braking category. Now the V10-engined S6 has gone on sale, maybe a boost in the performance score will help it next year.
