It's a marque normally associated with class-leading executive models, so alarm bells will be ringing at BMWÂ’'s HQ at the 1-SeriesÂ’ low finish. With a five-door body and a rear-wheel-drive chassis, the 1-Series is unique, and you certainly love the way it goes around corners. But the trade-off is a lack of rear seat space, making it less practical than a Ford Focus. You also dislike the stiff suspension and find it tricky to drive.
