Peugeot 206

Despite both hatch and coupé-cabriolet variants being top-sellers, the 206 had fared consistently badly in Driver Power – and the Lion has now dropped to last. Poor scores across the board include 100th for ease of driving and 98th for comfort and braking. A 60th-placed ranking for running costs will be scant consolation for Peugeot, which will be hoping for better from the 207.

MANUFACTURER VERDICT

One year on, more bad news. While the 207 has scored well, little else is up to par, dragging the firm down. Only running costs were singled out for praise – everything else was panned.
