Vauxhall Vectra (new)

The all-new Insignia arrives later this year – and judging by the Vectra’s performance, it’s ready for retirement. It continues to score well when it comes to practicality and running costs, but the driving experience is slated. You pour scorn on the vague handling and don’t rate the brakes, either.

MANUFACTURER VERDICT

A shocking performance. Vauxhall's are reasonably practical and frugal, but little else recommends them. Can the firm expect continuing strong sales if this is how drivers rate it?
