Fitted with the optional Dynamic Drive package, our Convertible's agility belied its size. At £2,935, the system isn't cheap, but it delivers a pliant ride and plenty of grip thanks to hydraulically controlled roll bars which adjust as cornering loads increase.
However, key to the newcomer's appeal is the engine, which is one of the smoothest we've ever experienced. With 27bhp more than the outgoing 3.0-litre it's more economical, more refined, and offers strong performance.
And once the fully automated hood is lowered, the twin exhausts deliver a silky soundtrack. A dechromed grille and an alternative standard alloy wheel design are the only exterior changes, while inside the cabin is unaltered.
