Model tested:
BMW 635d Sport
WHY? The twin-turbo diesel has proved itself in the 3-Series and 5-Series. Now we see if it makes sense in BMW’s luxury two-door.
AT A GLANCE: The BMW is not as practical, but keen driver dynamics and a seriously strong engine mean it’s easy to fall in love with the 635d. It’s a pity that the suspension set-up is a little too stiff, and that the price is so high – nearly £14,000 more than the 535d M Sport saloon.
