Model tested:
125i SE Convertible
WHY? It’s a full four-seater, with a good boot and neat top which folds under a hard cover.
AT A GLANCE: The 1-Series is a well rounded soft-top that is good to drive, sounds great and is refined. The 125i’s biggest weaknesses are the cramped rear seats and the 3.0-litre engine’s modest mid-range punch, but the roof tucks out of sight, giving the BMW cleaner lines.
