IT was the star of Skoda’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show – now Auto Express can bring you more pictures of the Yeti in its natural habitat!

Available with front or four-wheel-drive, Skoda’s first-ever SUV has an un-aggressive look, with jacked-up suspension and a chunky, hatchback-style shape.

Very similar to the original Yeti concept, seen at Geneva in 2005, the production version adds five doors and a simpler front end, with a traditional Skoda grille and spotlights.

Similar in size to the Roomster, the Yeti is just as practical inside, with up to 1,760 litres of boot space. Under the bonnet, buyers will be able to choose from a 104bhp 1.2 TSI petrol model and a 4x4 158bhp 1.8 TSI version.

Diesels include 108bhp, 138bhp and 168bhp versions of the VW Group’s 2.0-litre TDI unit. Sales are due to start in the UK in September. It will rival entry-level versions of VW’s Tiguan, with prices likely to start from a bargain £13,000.
