Here's the ultimate TT to be seen in. This is the storming new RS Roadster – a drop-top which packs a mighty punch, whichever way you look at it! Making sure all that pace reaches the road, the TT RS gets Quattro four-wheel drive biased 40:60 in favour of the rear wheels, along with beefed up brakes, plus lowered and stiffened
the suspension. A Sport button
sharpens the settings and makes the exhaust louder, while the company’s
magnetic dampers are an option. Inside the cabin gets sports seats, a
flat-bottomed steering wheel and a host of RS badging. Sales kick-off this summer, with the Roadster costing around £45,000.
With enlarged front air vents, a
diffuser, bold bodykit and a huge fixed rear wing, it's much more aggressive than the regular TT. But it's got the go to match its show too, with a new 2.5-litre five-cylinder
turbo engine.
It produces 340bhp and 450Nm of torque – enough for 0-62mph in
4.6 seconds. Top speed is restricted to 155mph, although the limiter
can be removed for a 174mph maximum.Â
