Click here for a detailed guide to the best Skoda deals in 2010

April 2009

Sprint now to your Skoda dealer to take advantage of their vat-free deal on all models of the Fabia, Roomster and Octavia. Discounts of up to £3,000 are on offer, but deals will change after January 31.

Skoda Fabia

The excellent vat-free deals drop the base 1.2 1 to £7,870, cutting £1,260 from the price. Even the diesels now duck under £10k, with the 1.4 TDI 80 costing £9,611. The low-emission Greenline is now £10,773, a drop of almost £1,800.

Skoda Octavia

The vat-cut at Skoda brings the cheapest 1.4 S spec to just £10,525, while a cut of £2,266 from the popular 1.6 TDI SE to £13,628. At the top end, the turbocharged petrol vRS with the DSG gearbox falls almost £3,000 to £17,249.

Skoda Roomster

No vat on Roomster either, so the mid-range 1.4 TDI SE is now £11,926, a cut of almost £2,000.

Don't discount a discount on the Yeti

My father-in-law secured a superb deal on the Yeti at the weekend - when taking the true value of his PX into account, he got a discount of nearly £2,500 off a 2WD S model. This was from a franchised main dealer too, with full back-up and a factory order to the customer's specification.
