World’s fastest MINI

Tuning firm ABF squeeze 650bhp from the MINI's 1.6-litre engine

ABF MINI

May 2009

The 208bhp John Cooper Works, the fastest MINI money can buy, is no slouch, but this beast has it well and truly trounced! Created by ABF Performance it takes the MINI’s performance to an astronomical level, thanks to a massive turbocharger and intercooler kit, boosting power from the 1.6-litre engine to a scarcely believable 650bhp.

An all carbon-fibre body and a stripped out interior keeps weight down to just 795kg – which leads to some phenomenal figures for a front-wheel drive car. The 0-60mph dash is dispatched in under 3 seconds while it hits 135mph from a standstill in a fraction over ten seconds.
