Another day, another member of the sub-£5,000 club! With scrappage, the entry-level Alto city car now costs £4,795 with no-deposit finance and monthly payments of £89 to sweeten the deal. Meanwhile, Suzuki throws in another £2,000 to slash back the diesel Grand Vitara 5dr to £13,500.

Suzuki Alto
No extra discounting from Suzuki, but the two-grand scrappage incentive drops the Alto city car to just £4,795 for the 1.0 SZ2. Go with the PCP deal and you can drive away with no deposit and monthly payments of £89 for the SZ2 or £99 for the air-con'd SZ3.

Suzuki Swift 1.3 GL

The entry Swift 1.3 GL drops to £6,750 with the scrappage. No extra discount from Suzuki, but there's the option of a two-year, zero-percent finance deal with a deposit of just £625. A Swift GLX three-door is available for £192 per month, payable over three years.

Suzuki Grand Vitara

A fabulous deal on the most desirable version of Suzuki's 4x4 range drops the 1.9-litre diesel five-door to just £13,500 under the scrappage scheme, thanks to an extra £2,000 discount from Suzuki.
