The best deals on new Mercedes in 2010

May 2009

Sizable cash discounts are on the table at Mercedes, most linked to PCP finance offers with some pretty tempting monthly payments.

Mercedes A-class

All PCP finance deals come with money off, rising to £1,200 from the diesel A180 Avantgarde SE. Monthly payments on the three-year offer go as low as £199 for lesser models, with APR at a decent 3.9%.

If you can finance elsewhere, check out the brokers for bigger discounts. For example Broadspeed has just over £1,600 off a low-tax A160 CDI in Avantgarde SE spec, now down to £15,804.

Mercedes C-Class

Cash off the saloon and estate for PCP finance deals, rising to £2,619 for the 350CDI saloon. The £1,500 off a C200 CDI Executive SE is standard, pegging monthly payments over three years at £319. Deposit is £3,700 and the mileage is set at 10,000 a year.

Marketplace deals
Push the dealers for more, or try the pre-haggled deal hammered out by the brokers. Eg Broadspeed’s £2,433 off a C200 diesel SE, now down to £22,417.

Again, cash discounts for the brand-new exec are linked to three-year PCP deals. Big petrols and diesels attract up to £2,700, but the popular diesels are barely more than a couple of hundred. Still, you do get an E200 CDI for £349 a month with a £4,500 deposit.

Marketplace deals
Not massive savings, but slightly better than the official. Broker Broadspeed drops the price of an SE version of the new super-frugal E250 CDI to £28,107, saving just under two grand.
