Ford is shifting its Focus to electric power!
The firm is revealing plans for a fleet of Battery Electric Vehicles based on the popular family car.
The prototype, right, uses a new all-electric powertrain with a 100kW (134bhp) lithium-ion battery pack, giving a range of 75 miles.
Recharging takes six to eight hours from a 230V supply.
The brand is also showing a new 99g/km ECOnetic engine with stop-start technology for the 2010 Focus.
