Kia Venga
The Venga is the latest in a range of affordable, exciting and practical cars that has seen the Korean manufacturer leapfrog Ford to become the world’s
fourth largest car maker.
This supermini MPV impressed when we drove it in Issue 1,094, thanks to its large 440-litre boot and ability to accommodate four adults in comfort, despite
its compact dimensions. The interior is well built and neatly laid out, too. Power comes from three engines: a 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.4 diesel, both developing 89bhp, plus a 123bhp 1.6 petrol mated to a four-speed auto. The EcoDynamics version of the diesel comes with stop-start and fuel economy of 62.8mpg.
Kia Sorento
Anything Hyundai can do, Kia can do better! The
larger Sorento sits on an all-new chassis which helps to keep weight as
low as possible, while a range of refined engines and modern styling
give the Sorento an edge over rivals such as the Chevrolet Captiva and
Jeep Cherokee. An optional extra pair of seats in the boot means up to
seven people can be carried, making the newcomer a viable alternative
to a compact MPV.
