SEAT

December 2009

SEAT Ibiza ST
The Ibiza estate is set to combine style and space – and if it looks exactly like the IBZ concept that was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in autumn, SEAT will have a hit on its hands. With its sleek tailgate, rakish roofline and dramatic slashes in the rear wings, the IBZ was the main attraction on SEAT’s stand at the German expo. When it reaches showrooms in 2010, with the name Ibiza ST, it’s set to outclass Renault’s Clio Sport Tourer and the Skoda Fabia Estate for style. However, it will offer the substance to back this up, with a sliding, fold-flat rear bench for increased flexibility.

As for engines, expect a similar line-up to the five-door hatch and three-door SportCoupé, including a 105bhp 1.9 TDI diesel, plus 105bhp 1.6, 85bhp 1.4 and 70bhp 1.2-litre petrol units.

SEAT Leon Cupra R
It’s the fastest, most powerful SEAT ever! Packing a 261bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, the Leon Cupra R does the 0-62mph sprint in 6.1 seconds and hits a top speed of 155mph. Other goodies include sports suspension, a muscular bodykit and a race-inspired interior. Prices should start at £23,000.
