Why do mags never include the A1's obviously closest rival, the Merc A Class in these group tests? Is it because the Merc's rubbish and they don't want to embarass an important advertiser? And while I have a lot of respect for Citroen's innovative designs, since when has it been a 'premium' brand?
What is your aversion to the MINI? (apart from the usual space one). And since when has Citroen been a premium brand? I have recently driven a new C3 - which I assume is the DS not in drag and the experience is nothing like a MINI. Could the ranking in this test possibly be directly correlated to the advetising space taken by the manufacturers in your publication?
An alfa falls pieces and depreciates heavily and won't out handle the DS3. Also simonsyddal you obviously don't know the history of Citroen so before criticising the mark read a book on the history of the marque. The DS3 is a well made car and is up there with the German brands. People these days are obviously like sheep and follow the crowd. Citroen interiors have improved drastically over the last decade and so have their designs. The DS3 is a different car to the new C3 as it drives better and the interior superior in every way.
MiTo
I still prefer the MiTo to any of these. It has the fun and drivability, better thatn the Citroen, and that means you don't have to buy an ugly car (DS3) to have a bit of fun.
