Never a common sight on the road but if you can find a late example then it is well equipped and very good value. I have a 57 plate one which I bought with 10000 miles on it and it was unmarked and like new. £5000 was all it cost and it drives well with comfortable seats, a good driving position (particularly as I am no spring chicken) Light controls, aircon, electric windows, heated mirrors, alloy wheels. Split folding rear seats which fold to give a flat load area. plenty of storage space, loads of headroom and great vision with big windows not these squashed claustrophobic things they are making now.
Negatives? Steering has no feedback but it goes where it is pointed. Not particularly quick but then it doesn't look particularly quick and where the Hell can you go quick these days? Central locking is not remote which will irritate some people as will the fact that the aircon comes on by default if you want to demist the front windscreen. You can turn it off though. Some people will not like the hard grey interior plastics but as most of the soft plastics feel like dead flesh, and why do you want to cuddle the dashboard anyway? this doesn't really bother me. At least it is all screwed together well
So if you are not image concious, want a practical vehicle and don't have money to burn, keep your eyes out for one of these and give it a try
