Prices for the Chrysler 300C have been announced, and there will be two models offered from launch.

The entry-level version of the US rear-wheel-drive saloon is the 300C Limited, and it starts from £35,995. Standard equipment includes LED daytime running lights, ESP, self-levelling suspension, and heated seats front and rear with active head restraints.

There’s also an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, hill start assist and a suite of curtain, side, front and rear airbags.

The 300C Executive is priced from £39,995 and adds keyless entry, heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats and safety gear including adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitoring system and forward collision warning.

The only engine offered at launch will be the 236bhp/540Nm 3.0-litre V6 diesel that returns 39.8mpg and 185g/km of CO2. It comes with a five-speed automatic transmission.

The Chrysler 300C saloon goes on sale in the UK this June.

SAw one of these on the road- looks much better than I thought from the photos. Very mean-looking but not in a contrived way.

Lacks imaginattion, style and flair.
So whats new from USA?

Very good looking car, lots of equipment, lots of comfort, good quality and at a very competitive price. A real alternative to the overpriced german sedans.

I like it, US muscle but still looks classy and returns 40mpg.
I would have one over a "me too!" german box anyday.

I would love to buy this car as my travel vehicle. However, thus far the U.S. auto industry (including most imports, except from the German companies) seem to think we will not buy diesels. Are you kidding? VW is selling every diesel model they can produce. I would love to have a 300C that achieve almost 40 mpg.

but I like it

Chrysler are on a roll with sales booming in the US at the moment, would love the to do well with this, and it great to see Chrysler taking the battle to try to beat the Germans at there own game. But £35,955 is still a tad to expensive, most folk would prefer a 72 MPG Efficient Dynamic BMW 520 diesel that costs about £28,000 with handling thats the best in the business sad to say.

If Chrysler could come up with a diesel as good as the BMW 520D ED at the same price, then l would not hesitate to buy one over the BMW.

Look very classy though, Chrysler are getting there.

Look no over styling, or weird shaped ass or hideous head lamps ..... BMW could learn something

Also it probably does'nt have a rock solid suspension where every time you run over a twig, your eyes fall out of your sockets...

If its the same 3ltr Merc engine then power up and emissions down? any one know? is it the same?
Looks good and hopefully will depreciate like a stone to I can afford one
Owned the current model for 3 years and its been a blast of motor, just loved it.
