Fuel economy from another planet.

On a full 33 Litre tank of fuel i achieved 741 miles before i was told to refill.

The build quality is accaptable but the ride and handling are really excellent especially over long journies.

Those who claim they can never achieve a manufactureres claimed fuel economy try a C1 diesel.

With the cars claimed 86 Mpg on the extra urban sycle was trying for 667 miles on a full tank which is 90mpg. I went passed that figure with still well over a gallon in reserve.

I recorded 741 miles before the warning buzzer sounded indicating less than 4 Litres left.

Citroen claimed their C1 diesel was capeable of over 100mpg and many thought it was impossible.

I can honestly say 741miles from just over 7 gallons of diesel all achieved with carefull 50mph driving is an honest 100+ to the gallon.

After 20 years of company cars and free fuel - I bought this car aware of costs - I was prepared for faults (not the german brands I was used to) and a dull car - but - No faults (all German cars had broken down) this car drives really well - fuel consumption varies between 50mpg nipping around towns and even 67mpg on motorway - regular 200 mile trips to Scotland are not a problem - I would recommend this car to friends.
Unfortunately the car snob in me does make me desire something more and a little quicker - but the car does what it is supposed to do well , cover miles cheaply and without incident - well done !

Excellent for what it is - cheap, economical but not powerful. Lives up to expectation. Wouldn't buy any other Citroen as I don't like the marque, but this is a Toyota design so it's been solid.

Only problem has been loose baffles in the original exhaust - replaced quickly under warranty, but the problem has recently come back in the new exhaust (about 20,000 miles after the replacement).

All in all, comfortable (suprisingly!), reliable, economical, but don't expect miracles for a £6000 car.

I brought the car for a cheap run a round to use when I am not on my motorbike, with cheap £35 year road tax and great fuel economy it ticks all the right boxes for a second car. It does wat it was designed for, it is cheap to buy so the interior comfort and soundproofing is lacking but you expect that with that type of price range car. On the whole I am very pleased with it and my next car will have to be as economy to run for me to replace it.

Best Citroen I have had, but that 'cause it's a Toyota inside. Bargain price, very nippy, cheap tax, cheap insurance costs nothing to run and is quite cool according to my 16 yr old who wants it to learn to drive in. It's the car the new Mini should have been. Which is why my wife takes it instaed of the Mini cooper rag top! True.

The car is enjoyable to drive, it could do with a little more power and a easier suspension but these are outweighed by its economy. Whilst it is not suitable for a family or anyone with loads of luggage it is ideal for a couple or single person.

Not as economical as we had expected. Main dealer service very expensive, so went to an independent. Would not have bought if made by Citroen (rather than the Toyota partnership).

Excellent. Meets all my expectations and nothing has gone wrong but that is probably because the factory is co-owned by Toyota! I wouldn't buy a straight Citroen!

Good budget car. Not a lot of space in the boot, but plenty with the seats folded flat. Tyres are too narrow.
