I used to own a 56 plate 5 series, but after getting married someone tried to break in and pinch the car keys. We decided the Beemer had to go and I wanted something cheap and cheerful to get me to work. My wife has a Zafira so the Beemer was an expensive luxury.
Okay it's chalk and cheese to compare a 5 series and a Ka, but I really like my Ford Ka. It doesn't have the luxury of the BMW or the space, toys (not even an RDS stereo and it's over 10 years since I played a cassette!) but it's actually really good fun. I would happily argue it's a better car for my 10 mile commute each day than the BMW was.
I miss my 5 series on long journeys and I liked my leather and toys, but for cheap fun I don't think you can go wrong with a Ford Ka as a commuter/run about car. I will certainly be keeping it for a while longer yet and none of the stress about people wanting to pinch/damage a nice shiny BMW

It is a Ka Finale A whole lot better car than the present New Ka Having driven both I was very dissappointed with the drive and interior finish of the new model Ka The Finale has all the extras apart from leather seats. and at a bargain price Excellent around town and will hold its own on the motorway Carry 4 adults, frugal with fuel,Easy to park, I am 6ft 2''and easy to drive What more can I say A excellent Ka martin smith

I left it standing for a week recently covered in snow and expected the battery to be flat when I returned to it, but it started first time. so far it has never let me down. Being fairly old the tax is high compared to more modern cars with low emissions but otherwise, parts are reasonable and it's as economic as anything else I can imagine driving.

sweet little car, great around town to nip into little gaps etc..
cheap to insure which is a massive bonus in the current economic climate and cheap to run.

some of the cabin materials could be of better quaility and the wipers do seem to judder at high speeds something which other owners have had as well.

just wish there was an ST version

I really like the Ka. It cost £900 and looks the same as a '58 reg Ka. It's fantastic to drive (although a little slow) and the fuel economy is definitely acceptable. Cheap to repair, cheap to own. Good times. :)

I love my KA, even if it is only small. I can have fun with it on country roads and I'm happy to do long mileage drives in it too. I would like a more powerful engine...but that could be dangerous!

It has been a great car, but I hate the look of the new Ford Kas as they are more like Puntos.

I would buy another the same if they had not changed the look of the Ford Ka

It's old and cheap. things are breaking most of the time and it costs far too much to keep running. Repairs can be cheap. cheap insurance and fairly low fuel consumption.
