Switzerland may not have its own car industry, but the neutral ground of the Geneva Motor Show always provides more than its fair share of spectacular world production and concept car debuts.
Held every year at the Geneva Palexpo, the Geneva Motor Show and its proximity to Europe’s biggest carmakers - including the likes of Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, SEAT, Skoda, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault and Jaguar Land Rover - breeds plenty of competition, as car makers pull out all the stops with new cars and concepts displayed on big show stands.
Not to be outdone, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Kia and Hyundai all make a splash at the Geneva show, too, while Ford and GM’s European brands also have plenty to shout about when the Geneva show kicks off at the beginning of March each year.
This year's event runs until 17 March, with notable debuts including the new Volkswagen Golf GTI, Honda Civic Tourer, the production-ready Alfa Romeo 4C, Renault Captur crossover, Mercedes A45 AMG and luxurious Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe, as well as supercars like the all-new Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Lamborghini Veneno.
