I have a 2.2 diesel Tourer, which nis a very comfortable and relaiable cruiser. It is not as economic s I would like - bioth fuel economy (5 speed gearbox) and tyre wear are disappointing. The only time it has let me down is when the handbreake failed and I am now wary of this and keep it in gear when parked. The othe disappointing area is demisting in very cold weather. I would only not buy the current model as the Tourer is smaller than mine, the clever rear sear folding mechanism and electric tailgate have been removed.

I've only had the car a few months but it has been excellent so far with no issues found. It's too soon to comment on price of parts as I have not had to have the car serviced since taking ownership of it.coming from a dieselo I did not expect great things mpg wise but for my style of driving and the driving that I do I find the car to be very very good and frugal.

Never lets me down I know that it will always start and take me to where I want to go. I bought a 5 year service deal offered to me when the car was new for ł500,00 so I dont have to think about service costs. whilst the cost of fuel is high, the annual mileage I do {6000} means I dont worry too much about it.

Just doen't go wrong. in four years of ownership apart from annual servicing all I have had to do was replace four tyres and two windscreen wiper blades. For a two litre car the performance/economy balance is just about right, bearing in mind the car is now nearly seven years old.

08-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Service and parts expensive. Brilliant engine and economy. Not the best tow-car; twitchy with caravan behind and very susceptible to crosswinds, which can be felt when not towing. Not an involving drive; I miss the Peugeot 406 for that quality. Competent but uninspiring.

2008-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Nothing has really gone, as people had told me about hondas. routine service items like brakes, and keep oil changed regularly. At 25mpg, quite thirsty. some pricey parts that aren't as easy to source as the saloon variant. however, parts aren't a regular occurrence.

53-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Very well engineered car. No discernable slackness in handling or steering even after 80,000 miles. Engine brilliant.
Only failure ever has been air-con compressor, and that was very expensive @ £1,000.00 to replace.
Better overall than BMW's I have owned.

Cost: 5/5
58-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Good points refinement, comfort and reliability.
Bad points, disappointing fuel economy for a deisel car of this size, poor luggage space and the voice activated hands free phone is infuriatingly difficult to programme and use.

Cost: 2/5
2004-reg Petrol, Owner for less than a year

Nothing gone wrong except some electrics. never had to use breakdown service. 2.0 litre petrol not the cheapest to run and tax but this will be offset by cheaper petrol compared to diesel and lower repair and maintenance bills.

03-reg Petrol, Owner for More than 5 years

Great car, no reason to change it as the only things it doesn't have are memory seat settings (I share the car with my wife) and a rear windscreen wiper. I would prefer a diesel but that version is not available.

2003-reg Petrol, Owner for more than 5 years

Car has been the most reliable car I have owned just small non mechanical defects like discolouring of headlights squeaking clutch pedal etc. Expensive on fuel and servicing and parts parts at dealers a rip off.

Cost: 3/5
2008-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Faultless. kept serviced, has never let me down. honda living up to their reputation. Servicing costs low, parts can be expensive when required.fuel economy is more suited to the us, where the car was designed.

1994-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Perfect, always starts first time, runs very well, drives very well. My car is old and I think there are only around 70 or so left in the country & parts are very hard to find & extortionately expensive.

Cost: 3/5
07-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Very pleased with car. Carries substantial loads in conform. Could be quicker but then there was the option of the 2.4l engine but that would have cost too much to run

Has convinced me that I cannot justify buying expensive BMW's

Honda's are great for relibility. Petrol consumption could be better as could the price of parts, especially the common ones needed at each service.

The car does 40-50,000 miles a year and has not once let me down mechanically. Mpg not great! company car tax is high due to high co2 emmissions.
