The i30 is an excellent car; comfortable, capacious, (especially the estate), is practical, economical and with the diesel engine, good to drive. The icing on the cake is the 5 year warranty and the implied confidence in the cars reliability. Drawbacks are road noise and a slightly hard ride, both due I think, to the lower profile and perhaps the make of tyres fitted to the Style model. I should have chosen the Comfort model but was seduced by the Style's other extras.

Excellent blend of style, comfort, practicality, performance and safety wrapped up in a well designed and brilliantly built car.
The standard equipment on the base models is astonishing and having the Premium Sport model just ups the ante.
Chuck in the amazing price point and a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty and I am so glad I didn't go for the second hand Focus instead!

Lively performance for a small (1.4L) petrol engine; good handling; ride a little firm on 16in wheels/55 section tyres; economy disappointing (10% less than the EC Urban figure); spacious interior; comfortable seats; tyres noisy on all but smooth roads.
Overall I'm pleased with the car, but will probably go for something a bit more powerful next time.

A very good practical car, with lots of safety features, reasonable running costs, although they could reduce co2 to reduce tax - not the cheapest 1.4 to tax. its stylish, reasonably rare, you don,t often see others about, exclusivetivity at a reasonable pric as long as you're not a badge snob!

I find the i30 Diesel Estate to be an excellent car both in terms of ride quality , equipment and economy. Due to the size, it is far more practical than a hatchback of a similar size and as such I would have no hesitation in recommending this car to a prospective purchaser.

Very impressed by the level of equipment standard in the basic 1.4 Comfort model. Excellent traction in the snowy weather of the last few weeks has left some 4x4's stuck while the i30 gets through easily.
The build quality is excellent and embarrasses many executive marques.

the i30 is a great car and i would recommened anyone to go and test drive one before buying a vw or honda for twice the price. it has slightly more road noise than a civic but has none of those nasty squeaks and suspension rattles.

A fantastic car at an amazing price (even without the scrappage allowance). Makes other hatchbacks seem very expensive and yet still offers all the quality, performance, comfort and economy you could ask for.

The build quality , ride comfort and spec level on my Hyundai are head and shoulders above anything I have owned before - what a surprise for the money - spread the word - Hyundai is the way forward !

A good car, plenty of safety features and very spacious. Fantastic warranty. Let down by poor ride/road noise. Engine struggles, and fuel economy not great. A little more work and could be brilliant.

Perfect little runabout round town & good on long hauls - took it to Scotland over the summer. Fits all luggage, me, partner, the dog & shopping - in comfort. Had a Coupe before this, also v good.

An honest car, low price but has good safety equipment and includes many extras within the basic model. The suspension is firmer than I would like ove pot holed roads.
