57-reg Diesel, Owner for Less than a year

Although not carrying a desirable badge on the front, it is truly brilliant, very comfortable, reasonably economic and amazingly practical with 7 seats , 3rd row folds flat & all suitable for an adult. Absolutely essential if you want to take your child (grown up) and his average family out for the day ; you now need a minimum of 6 seats so that those rediculous car seats can be fitted. The only alternative is to take 2 cars - not VERY GREEN!!

Just enough minor irritations to allow some room for improvement: Lack of an RDS radio is main issue and is ridiculous. Slightly low rent feel to arm rest/storage between front seats. Combination of slightly slow pickup and auto box tardiness mean you can get caught out on approach to roundabouts, etc. I believe these are all addressed in the 2010 model, which I will consider as aoon as early used examples are available.

The Santa Fe has proved to be a good workhorse, towing a caravan well, highly practical and pretty good running costs relative to the size. The only reason I wouldn't buy the same again is that Hyundai have closed their dealership in Exeter and the journey to Torquay is really too far.

Absolutely Brilliant. Does exactly what you'd expect but at a vastly better price than the competition. Dealer's no-frills but very good at doing what you need and on-the-ball. First time I have ever considered replacing a car with the same make, never mind model.

Sturdy, practical, reliable, roomy workhorse with a go-anywhere feel. Would recommend it. Looks a bit brutish but has served me well. Might buy the new shape Santa Fe eventually or might just keep this one.

This is a superb SUV and coming from a BMW Convertible I am impressed with my Hyundai. In many aspects it is a better vehicle especially in wintery conditions. Well done Hyundai.
