Driving tips from a rally champion
I'm not sure about market share, or a flash cabin, I wouldnt entertain one in a fit, the way they are currently finished. I think Jaguar need a serious urgent lesson in fit and finish and panel gaps. The way that tail light sits, joining three panels, is terrible. The alignment is out and the gaps are very a la early Range Rover. Pretty shoddy, for a lot of money. The A8, also aluminium, would really have the measure of this car any day. Audis have largely set the benchmark for interiors for some time, and elegant might be my word. The Jaguar is also clever, but flashy with it. While JLR can manage cars like the RR, still the undisputed king of 4WD's, and the XJ, a lightweight luxury express [@ 8 tenths], then re-gurge something like the Freelander, tarted up, with a price over the hill, for a 20th century car. You dont find those terrible extremes in any other car company Jaguar is likely to compete with.
But then you can't really describe an Audi as beautiful, can you?
