Fiat signs £29m deal for Jeep sponsorship on Juventus football shirts for the next three seasons
Fiat has signed a deal to sponsor Juventus FC for the next three football seasons, but the club's shirts will wear the logo of Fiat-owned Jeep in an effort to build more awareness for the brand.
The £29million deal comes ahead of a string of important new Jeep models in the coming years, including a Juke-rivalling supermini SUV, a Compass replacement and a luxurious seven-seat Grand Wagoneer.
Currently the Jeep line-up in the UK comprises the Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and the Qashqai-sized Compass.
An official statement read: "From 1 July 2012, Fiat SpA will become the sole sponsor of Juventus for all competitions, against a fixed total of 35million euros [£29million], in addition to becoming the supplier of club cars."
