X-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Apart from its known thirst for petrol, this has been the best most versatile car I have owned. It could do with a 5 speed auto box but in the snow with its snow mode button, it was fantastic. Nothing held me up apart from other road users. In France last year in hot sunshine, absolutely brilliant, although that was when a 5 speed box would have been handy. No oil needed in 10000 miles and apart from moderate servicing costs by Lexus, whose service is brilliant, no parts needed either. Tyres are the next thing needed and they cost about £150 for two so cannot quibble at that.

Not the most fuel efficient Hybrid, but considering the size of engine, gives reasonable economy.
Full of gadgets. Great quality.
Down size, Bluetooth is rubbish, people on the other end can't hear you whilst you can hear them. The same 12V battery runs everything else. Don't watch a DVD whilst waitng for someone!! you won;t get half way through unless you keep the car on! Why not try a rechargable battery coonecting to the electric motors?

I think it was maybe built on a Monday morning or a friday afternoon. Initially a very good car, but falling to bits prematurely. Replacement parts far too expensive and shocking design for economic repairs. All the problems seem to be occurring on our car on things that have never gone worng on other vehicles we have had. At 80,000 miles, it would appear this car is now at the end of its life.

Nice car in lots of ways. MPG figure given is absolute rubbish, I think manufacturers should be taken to task for doing this. This expensive car is let down badly by sad lack of essentials, like reversing aids, input for Ipod, well placed 12v socket for Sat nav and useful designed mud flaps. The car get filthy easily because of poor design.

Does everything very well with no dramas. Nice & easy to drive, very relaxing. Takes everything a young family & dog can carry. In winter it really makes a case for itself - grip is fantastic with only a snow button it also isn't too complicated. Great equipment.

This is my second lexus - both were utterly reliable. Local journeys keep the mpg low, and lexus parts and service costs are very high. but on balance, the costs are worth it.

No faul;t since buying except product recalls which I did not do until 1 year of reminders came through my letter box. 30mpg seems good for 4x4 notso good in urban.

Love it to bits, it's just too thirsty with petrol prices rising every other week. If I could get similar but much more economical I would jump.

Well built; it works! Lexus advertise 44.6 mpg the only way that is possible is to drive at 50 mph. very misleading claims for fuel efficiency.

The car fills me with confidence especially when my neighbours car refuse to start. I tow a large caravan yet my overall mpg is 29.2.

Never owned a hybrid before. Very impressed but cannot get anywhere near the manufacturers mpg figures.
Averaging 36.5mpg.

Except for worn battery car never fails. Service with add on parts gets quite expensive, tyres on front don't last long.

It's brilliant. Does exactly what we expect in a quiet, unassuming manner. Doesn't shout but who wants to be deafened?
