The current Quattroporte is quite distinctive. Isn't this one somewhat blander and more anonymous? Could it even be a Lexus from some angles?
Maybe they're trying to be too much to too many. But, it's lost a good part of its character. Even though the overall balance of the design is better, from certain angles, like the rear, it could be a version of at least a dozen other cars. And the interior - minus the quality of the materials - could be inside a new Toyota Avalon.
Maybe this is where we are now. We've beat most of the forms to death, already. It's certainly getting harder to be attractively unique without just being different.
Mercedes CLS from the front, Audi A4 from the back, perfect for the Chinese copycat car market but what a shame to loose its distinctiveness.
A5 TAKES VIAGRA AND MEETS A LEXUS IN A DARK ALLEY. NOT SUBTLE , NOT ELEGANT, NOT ON MY LIST.
I'm sure its a great car to drive...but!One thing |I have noticed with Maserati is they in the last decade introduce a stunning looking new car...then end up ruining it so it looks like something from Germany or Korea.
Why is this? The management must be fools... this car has no real character.A missed opportunity.
