I have never had a problem with her. she starts first time in any weather. she is quick and efficient - what more can you ask?. I didnt buy this car to be frugal and " green" ( eco). I bought her to be a fast reliable and comfotable service vehicle for work and pleasure. therefore I trade off the hype that many manufacturers giove about their fuel efficiency and no tax rates for comfort and speed . she does what it says on the box by the manufacturer and I am quite happy with the fuel economy on this cae ( its certainly a lot better than my last renault clio).

It just seems all things giving up at once, from tyre wear + exhaust wear being normal wear + tear, to major gear-box / clutch problems last year, with a bill of ł3,200. in the space of 2yrs, the car has turned into a money pit.lost all faith in this one, and when the yr guarantee for the g/box runs out, the car is on the market.pity really, as the car, when ok, is a beautiful machine. Average 48mpg, for an auto, stop/start journeys.ł30 yr tax.cheap ins.what's not to like !!

We are very happy with both our mazdas [ts2 + tamara]. we were given an exceptional deal on the tamara saving us a great deal of money - it only cost us ł10,000 and had many extras that our ts2 did not have. We spend around ł35 to ł40 on petrol.we have taken out a deal with 'in and out' which gives us 2 services 2 mots and limitless top ups for both of our cars [ł190.00].

I have had no problems with the running of the car other than a defect with the nearside front underwing guard. Given that most of my journeys tend to be less than 25 miles each, I believe that my mpg is typical. prices of spare parts tend to be expensive but averaged over the year there are realistic.

Cost: 5/5
2009-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Its a reliable car, I have had no problems except my battery which needed replacing. I am on my second set of tyres , but my mileage is 42k. I would not hesitate to get another mazda 2. I do 300miles per week, and I fill up every 8-9 days....service is not the cheapest but I do go straight to mazda.

To date the Mazda 2 TS has proved reliable and enjoyable to drive. As an overall package (price, equipment, handling, styling etc.) it was the best deal. The only disappointment has been the slightly firm ride over pot holes and rough surfaces and the lower MPG than the claimed govt. figures.

It's a 1.5 Sport model with 5 doors. Excellent as a city car and equally good on motorways. Excellent built quality and I got a good discount plus interest free credit from the dealer. It is my third Mazda and all of them were equally good with excellent service from the local Mazda dealer

Cost: 5/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

The car is reliable, however, 6 months after purchase there was a judder on braking. this was rectified at the car's first service. The car has an average mpg gage which helps to understand how much fuel you use and how you can save on petrol. the car's petrol use has exceeded expectations.

Cost: 5/5
57-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Very reasonable all round. Minor niggles - boot a bit small, lack of storage space pactricularly in the doors, dashboard reflection in door mirrors, windows steam up very quickly, rear window wiper travels approx 120 degrees before contact with the water.

Cost: 5/5
2009-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Never had any trouble with the car. however carpets in driver side leave a lot to be desired. This car uses high octane fuel and doesn't have good fuel economy. servicing is done by garage where bought on 4 yr service package paid for on purchase of car.

Cost: 2/5
2009-reg Diesel, Owner for 3 to 5 years

She's lovely. I've only had one small issue (car was about a year old) and that was fixed under warranty. Because I don't have a huge mileage, there's nothing much that goes wrong so the running costs are minimal - only diesel, screenwash and valeting!

Cost: 5/5
2010-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

I have had a mazda car for 30 years and found it the most reliable car. the only problem I had with a mazda 6 was the battery. Talking to friends with other makes it is economical on petrol but more expensive on parts and service than other cars.

Cost: 3/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Had the first car replaced after only 4 weeks because of poor paint quality. the replacement car had to have a complete new steering rack after less than a year. Official mpg states up to 60 mpg combined. don't get any more than 42 mpg combined.

Cost: 2/5
2009-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

I don't worry about it starting in the morning or breaking down. Fuel economy isn't great and tyres are a weak point. buying them from any source other than a mazda dealership is extremely expensive, yet they're not cheap from the dealer!

Cost: 4/5
2010-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Excellent starting, especially on cold mornings. Very much like the automatic version of the mazda ts2. this is the first automatic since passing my test in 1964. not happy with the fuel consumption but informed this is to be expected.

Great car, would def buy another mazda. it hasnt let me down yet (touch wood!) even in this awful weather. I work in a community setting, so do alot of short and long distance trips. I am very happy with the cost of running this car.

Cost: 5/5
2010-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

No problems mechanically. first class reliability. The engine is a 1.5lt petrol so 42mpg is ok. if I had wanted the best economy I would have picked a smaller engined car. the extra performance is worth the hit on the economy.

Cost: 3/5
2012-reg Petrol, Owner for less than a year

Have had absolutely no issues whatsoever with it since purchase. Everything covered by warranty and service cover (ł17 per month) so v happy that it has cost me nothing extra so far. would like more mpg.....but who wouldn't?.

Cost: 4/5
2010-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Exellent. Greatest outlay is probably tyres. servicing costs are reasonable as a result of an agreement made when I purchased my first mazda with this dealer in 1986. 12 purchases later they still honour it.

Cost: 5/5
2012-reg Petrol, Owner for less than a year

This is my 4th mazda all have been fantastic, in the last two only needing new wipers, nothing else to worry about. My last mazda was a diesel so very low cost including road tax, not had this model long enough to compare.

It is as good as its cousin the Ford Fiesta, well styled but cleverly understated. Pity it does not have a heated front screen like its cousin, but the heater/aircon does clear the front screen quickly.

Cost: 5/5
2011-reg Diesel, Owner for 1 to 3 years

I've had the car for 2 years now and it's only ever had routine servicing and 2 tyres. no breakdowns. Mazda advertise 67mpg but I've never had better than 59 on a tank full. ł20 a year tax is a bonus!

Cost: 4/5
2010-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Always starts first time, seems to have good holding power, lights etc. work well. I don't really know. I just fill it up when it's needed. as it's a new-ish car it has not yet needed any spare parts.

Cost: 5/5
2009-reg Petrol, Owner for 3 to 5 years

Cost: 4/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

It starts up first time every day, and never had an issue with it. Apart from the annual service and a winter check the only other costs apart from fuel is cheap insurance and road tax.

Cost: 5/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Very good in the recent bad weather. easily manoueverable. With it being a sports model it is obviously not quite as cheap as a standard one but nevertheless it is comparably economic.

Cost: 4/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Starts instantly and the automatic gearbox is the best I have ever used. Only use the car for social purposes and shopping about 3 times a week, so my running costs are quite low.

Cost: 3/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

It has never failed to start but it has had to have work done on the breaks three times in 14000 miles. Fuel consumption is good and not expensive to insure.

Cost: 4/5

It does what it says on the tin. For the mileage that I do now as a pensioner it costs more than it perhaps might have done as a full time professional.

Cost: 2/5
2009-reg Petrol, Owner for less than a year

I have had no issues with the car as yet. I have no issues with the overall running costs, but my commute (motorway, city driving) has lowered my mpg.

Cost: 4/5

Cost: 3/5
2004-reg Petrol, Owner for more than 5 years

No breakdowns, expected wear and tear found during annual testing. Shape of car makes mpg low. spare parts are expensive and slow to arrive.

Cost: 3/5

So far it has been excellent as I would expect from mazda having owned one before hope to have many more years like it. So far so cheap.

Cost: 4/5
2011-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Aside from an unnecessary engine warning light coming on when first bought then no issues at all. Slightly worse mpg than anticipated.

Cost: 3/5

Fuel economy is lower than published.oem parts from dealer are reasonably priced apart from wipers which are cheaper elsewhere.

Not a single problem. Only costs are fuel so far - not the cheapest, but it's a sports version, so that's only to be expected.
