MINI Olympics range revealed

A range of limited-edition MINIs inspired by the Olympics will hit the road in March next year

The London 2012 Edition models come in one of three Union Jack-themed colour schemes: Chili Red, White Silver or Lightning Blue. All feature white mirror caps, a white roof with the London 2012 logo, and a Union Jack stripe running over the bonnet, roof and rear of the car. The models also get specially designed grey 17-inch conical spoke alloy wheels, which are not available on any other model.

Inside, a picture of the London skyline is etched across the piano-black dashboard, featuring landmarks like Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

And the patriotic theme extends throughout the cabin: the black leather seats get red, white and blue stitching, as do the headrests, handbrake and floor mats. All models feature extra options such as Lounge Leather sports seats, DAB radio, air-conditioning, cruise control, and chrome interior touches. Start-stop and brake regeneration also come as standard.

Only 2,012 models will be built, available in Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD trims, with prices starting at £17,800.

Will MINI ever stop bringing out new versions?

What happens to all of the previous versions that have been released as Limited Editions, do they just get rebadged as some other Limited Edition to shift them?

We're bringing out a Limited Edition that has some of the features of every other Limited Edition we've already released but this new edition will have new wheel nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MINI catalogue must be the size of a phone directory with all of the different versions they've got out!!!!!
