....and the difference is?
last image - fuel cap left open - DOH!!!
Thats because it's got a camera clipped on it for side view video.
MINI designer inspired by lazy Porsche designer
Ed Rook is right, the item 'soldierboy001' is trying to say is a camera...isnt.Its the filler cap unscrewed and held in the door where is goes while you fill up....DOH!
its still too big! we want the rocketman concept please!
From the looks of this new MINI and that of the bigger FIAT. I'd say they rammed them together and Presto! You have two car companies with the same car!
What's up with that square bar across the bottom of the front grill? looks terrible
the bonnet looks like it's been squashed.
it looks terrible. The rear lights are way too big. No previous mini has ever had lights that big on the car. Because of this the car just looks like a reduced in photoshop paceman from the back. Also what is that huge piece of black safety rubbish slapped in the middle of the front grill ? That alone ruins the front end. I have owned older generation and new minis recently a 2004 a 2008 and now atm a 2011 but this car just looks awful. I wont be trading my 2011 car in for this epic design fail.
thats the least of this cars worries right now. I want to know how they hope to sell a car with a huge piece of black plastic strapped to the front grill and lights bigger than most dinner plates on the back. Also what happened to the iconic/ old skool mini inspired middle centre piece dash ?
Like all BMW minis it looks great. But we have 2 minis in our family, and both are really troublesome> Poorly made, cheap electronics and expensive to repair. As our garage says...Minis are 'value engineering' , i.e not made to be reliable for very long ! 60k at most in our experience.
The design is poor compared to the first incarnation of BMW's take on the Mini. This latest model has lost all the simplicity and purity of the original design. It's overly fussy, looks bulky particularly when viewed from the side and has certainly eroded the attractiveness and desire of the original BMW Mini. The interior looks great though, it could have even better handling/ride and economy which will be a step forward.
BMW are on a 'roll' - they just can't stop messing with the Mini and it gets uglier every time. As for the interior - bling city! Eugh!
This car doesn't get any prettier.I wonder if its one of Chris Bungles creations?
Not being funny, you have to ask why they insist on still calling it the Mini?My guess is they know we are getting bigger in general as a race as people and it's just an underhand way of making more room for us as we expand our wastelines.
If anyone has been up close to a countryman it's almost the size of a Black Cab (that cant be right).
Also judging by some of the comments it sounds like people are experiencing British Leyland levels of quality. So maybe BMW are keeping the Mini name as they dare not call it the "Maxi".
looks like a pimped up skip! shocking
.. I like what they have done with the design in some ways but they are losing the plot with the size... Maybe the Beverian design team need English lessons Mini is small and not Bigi
seriously ugly car. how can you call this a mini !!!???
