It's the most potent drop-top Bentley has ever built – and with a
202mph top speed, it’s the world’s fastest four-seat cabriolet, too!
Auto
Express has the first official pictures of the new Continental
Supersports Convertible, a twin turbocharged four-seat cabriolet that
offers a staggering 621bhp and 800Nm of torque.
Set to debut
on Bentley’s stand at March’s Geneva Motor Show, the car covers the
0-60mph sprint in only 3.9 seconds, while 0-100mph is dispatched in 9.6
seconds.
The Supersports Convertible wears the same white
paintwork as the 2008 Supersports Coupé, and is distinguished by its
road-hugging ride height, and unique front and rear bumper treatment.
Inside, drivers can look forward to specially finished carbon fibre trim, and so-called ‘soft-grip’ leather trim which has a suede-like finish. All cars also get upgrades to standard equipment too, including a new adaptive cruise control system.
What’s more, Bentley has also announced that all of its Continental models from now on will be capable of running on E85 biofuel, as part of the company’s commitment to make all of its cars compatible with renewable energy sources by 2012.
