Honda put in an electric performance at Geneva! Alongside the CR-Z road car on its stand was this – the EV-N. The tiny four-seater battery-powered electric vehicle is inspired by the firm’s N360 micro car from the Sixties and measures fewer than three metres long.
It doesn’t share the complicated hybrid technology of other models in the Honda range, but is aimed at urban drivers attracted by existing models such as the G-Wiz.
There are no plans to put the retro-electric model into production, but it does show that ultra-compact runarounds can look like proper city cars. Neat details include solar cells on the roof to top up the battery.
