Goodwood FoS 2011

World debuts, a Moving Motor Show and one of the most exciting supercar parades yet ensure this year's Goodwood FoS will be one to remember.

It’s Goodwood Festival of Speed time again and this year’s event looks set to be one of the most exciting yet with a host of world first public appearances. Amongst this year’s debutants are the 552bhp BMW M5 and the stylish three-door Vauxhall Astra GTC. 

This year’s Supercar Run is populated by an impressive array of modern exotica and will include runs up the famous hill-climb for the Pagani Huarya, Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari’s four-seater FF. 

There’s also plenty to keep motorsport fans happy with Mazda’s 787B rotary-engined race car, Audi’s Le Mans 2011 winner – the R18 TDI – and a host of other famous racers populating the stands.

The Moving Motor Show is back for a second year allowing show-goers to get behind the wheel of models from 22 manufacturers from Ford to MG and drive them up Goodwood’s hill.

1. Jaguar E-Type

Jaguar is taking the lead at this year's Goodwood, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the stunning E-Type with a special sculpture in front of the main house. An array of classic Jaguars will be joining it on the hill-route, including the C- and D-Type, the XK120 and the new 542bhp XKR-S.



 
2. Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari

Abarth's pocket-rocket hommage to all things Ferrari won't be going up the famous hill route, despite boasting an impressive 180bhp and clocking a 0-60mph time of just 7 seconds. However it will be on static display in all it's carbon fibre and body kitted glory.



 
3. MINI JCW WRC

British rally fans are in for a treat as the MINI John Cooper Works WRC will be storming around the special stage with driver Kris Meeke behind the wheel. Not only that, but one lucky punter will win a passenger ride round the 1.67 mile forest stage in a raffle on Saturday night.

 



 
4. Mazda 787B

One of the loudest and greatest Le Mans cars of all time, the Mazda 787B will be appearing in the UK fresh from a historic 20th anniversary return to the 24hr race, and will be spitting flames on its way up the hill across the weekend.

5. Ferrari FF

Ferrari's new four-seater, four-wheel drive V12 flagship with make its UK debut at the Festival of Speed, and with a staggering 660bhp on tap it should post an impressive time up the hill. It's joined by the 458 Italia, and the 2009 F1 car driven by Marc Gené.



 
6. Porsche GT3 RS 4.0

Touted by many as the ultimate 911 - and the swangsong model before the next generation arrives later this year, the strictly limited edition GT3 RS 4.0 makes an amazing, racecar-style roar that's set to thrill the crowds.



 
7. Lamborghini Aventador

The new 700bhp V12 powered Aventador will be on show in the Supercar Paddock before tackling the hill-climb. With 0-62mph taking just 2.9 seconds it's bound to be quite a ride. 



 
8. Honda CR-Z Mugen

One-off prototype boasts a supercharged version of the standard CR-Z's engine with power boosted to 200bhp. Honda are likely to be keeping a close eye on public reaction to see whether they should put it into production.

9. Alfa Romeo 4C

Alfa's stunning concept car will be making its UK debut at Goodwood. It's powered by the Giulietta's turbocharged 1.7-litre engine producing 200bhp and will rocket from 0-62mph in around five seconds.



 
10. BMW M5

The new 552bhp M5 makes its world debut at Goodwood with an aggressive new look and turbocharged 4.4-litre V8. 



 
11. Audi R8 GT Spyder

Lightweight high performance version of the R8 Spyder will be showcased on the Audi stand in its striking matt blue paint. Only 333 of the limited run model will be built so take a close up look while you can.



 
12. Audi R18 TDI

The R18 TDI will be on show in the F1 paddock fresh from its victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours race alongside other famous motorsport Audis, including the R10 TDI and S1 quattro.
