Kit keeps track of keys

Never lose your keys again with Loc8tor

By Simon McBride

If you spend too much time searching for your car keys, let the Loc8tor track them down for you. Not only can the handy, pocket-sized device find keys, it can also warn you if someone else has picked them up.

There are two modes. One leads you to any item you have tagged up to 180 metres away using arrows on a screen, beeps and vibrations to guide you to within an inch of what you’re looking for. The Alert option prevents things from going astray in the first place. If a tagged item moves out of a set safety zone, the Loc8tor will emit a warning beep and direct you to its position. Tags can be attached quickly and easily to virtually anything with a keyring, while adhesive strips are included in the pack.

The Loc8tor Plus costs £99.99 and includes three homing tags and a panic tag that can be worn by a child – great if you get separated in a crowd at a grand prix or motor show. The system will also warn you when its batteries are low or the tags are short on power. A £59.99 Standard version has no Alert mode and two tags. Find out more by visiting www.loc8tor.co.uk or calling 0870 111 7777.
