It's go, go, gone for MINI GP

MINI GP special edition

25th June 2006

Here's a car that’s so fast, it’s raced off the shelves before you’ve even had a chance to drive it! MINI’s most powerful production model yet has sold out before it’s hit the dealer network. Only 2,000 MINI GPs were made, but they’ve all been snapped up a month before being due to go on sale.

Only 444 of the special-edition cars were offered in the UK. The two-seater Cooper S is fitted with the John Cooper Works GP kit, can hit a top speed of 146mph, and promises a 0-60mph sprint time of under 6.5 seconds. The car cost eager buyers £22,000, and carries its limited-edition number on the roof. Visitors to the British Motor Show at London’s ExCeL can feast their eyes on the new motor next month.
