Model pioneer's toy story

It is nearly 200 years old and researchers think it was made by Richard Trevithick, the man who built the first mechanically-powered road vehicle in 1801.

The model has just been bought by London's Science Museum for £92,000. Experts say it showed backers how powered vehicles worked. "This was built to test new engineering concepts," said the Science Museum's Jim Rees.
