Upgrades give flagship ST healthy power boost
26th July 2006
German tuning specialist Wolf Concept has put together a package of engine and suspension upgrades that make the blue oval's fastest Focus even more rapid.
Among the improvements is a new turbocharger for the 2.5-litre five-cylinder motor which, together with a revised management system, boosts power from 217bhp to a massive 296bhp and takes torque from 320Nm to 386Nm.
That should shave at least a second off the 0-60mph sprint time - cutting it to 5.5 seconds - and considerably sharpen in-gear response. To cope with the power, the Wolf Concept set-up also includes suspension upgrades, as well as wider tyres and 19-inch wheels. The package is available through Wolf Concept in the UK and at selected Ford dealers.
