That was the highest bid attracted on eBay's Spanish auction website for this model version - which officially confirms the compact people carrier's looks for the first time.
The French company has only just unveiled the car, yet this model reveals it will wear the Picasso name. The distinctive badge wasn't expected to adorn the newcomer, but it is visible on the front wings of the toy. There's also an unusually large windscreen, which sweeps a long way back into the panoramic glass roof.
When the Picasso debuts at next month's Paris Motor Show, it will rival the big-selling Renault Scenic in the compact MPV class. Five and seven-seat versions are expected, both offering fold-flat chairs.
Engines will be shared with the C4, and entry-level power is to come from the hatchback's 1.4-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel units.
The C4 Picasso is likely to hit British showrooms towards the end of this year, with prices starting from around £14,000.
Full details of Citroen's classy new people carrier will be available on the Auto Express website (www.autoexpress.co.uk) from 3 August.
